01 — AI READINESS

AI is no longer something
to postpone.

The challenge is not to adopt every new development. It is to identify useful applications, test them methodically, and integrate them into a controlled environment.

01

Understand

Identify the tasks, documents, data, and processes where AI can provide practical assistance.

02

Experiment

Build a focused prototype within a limited scope to assess real-world feasibility and limitations.

03

Integrate

Connect useful tools with access rules, testing, human validation, and clear documentation.

ARCHITECTURE TO CONSIDER

Local, cloud, or hybrid.

Depending on your data, constraints, and hardware, a solution can run locally, rely on the cloud, or combine both approaches. The right choice starts with analysing the need, not with choosing a tool.

TECHNOLOGY HORIZON

Understand today.
Prepare for tomorrow.

Artificial intelligence, humanoid robots, and quantum computing: three transformations to follow, without confusing current possibilities with tomorrow’s promises.

01

Artificial intelligence

Connect tools to real needs.

Research, analyse, create, or automate: the challenge is to identify relevant applications, verify the results, and maintain human oversight.

My priority: useful, testable solutions adapted to your context.

02

Humanoid robots

Observe the transition into the physical world.

Which tasks could they assist with? In which environments? With what requirements for safety, reliability, and supervision?

My approach: distinguish demonstrations from applications genuinely suited to an organisation.

03

Quantum computing

Understand a different computing horizon.

What possibilities do quantum processors open up? Which problems might they help address? What limitations need to be understood before considering an application?

My objective: make the issues understandable, without promising immediate adoption.

Prepare thoughtfully, rather than follow every trend.

I favour gradual preparation: understanding developments, building relevant skills, and experimenting when a concrete need justifies it. The goal is to make informed choices rather than simply react to change.

TECHNOLOGY MONITORING AND ADVICE

From trends to practical decisions.

As a Python and AI developer, I also offer an advisory perspective on these developments. I help clarify the possibilities, identify limitations, and consider their implications for professional roles and organisations.

My work combines practical Python and AI development, technology monitoring, and support in understanding emerging technologies. This contribution takes place within a salaried role or an assignment through a temporary employment agency.

02 — METHOD

Move faster with AI.
Keep control.

Vibe Coding makes it possible to explore and produce a first version quickly. Harness Engineering provides the structure needed to make the result clearer, testable, and easier to evolve.

01

Need

Understand the context, users, data, and constraints.

02

Prototype

Build a useful first version to explore feasibility.

03

Verification

Test important behaviours and examine errors and limitations.

04

Integration

Connect approved tools and prepare an approach suited to the organisation.

05

Handover

Document the system, access rules, limitations, and next steps.

Principle: AI can accelerate development; it does not replace testing, access rules, or human judgement.

03 — TRAINING

Verifiable foundations
for building with AI.

My personal projects demonstrate practical application. These certifications also document training in Python and artificial intelligence.

THIERRY MAESEN · 1981 to TODAY

My journey

A path where each experience connects to the next, from BASIC on a ZX81 to Python and AI projects.

My career brings together very different environments — programming, space technology, quality, banking and insurance, self-employment and the web. Each stage strengthened the same approach: understanding a real need, structuring a solution, documenting what matters and evolving tools methodically.

Today, this background shapes my focus on Python development combined with AI, through Vibe Coding and Harness Engineering: using AI to speed up delivery within a clear framework, with checks and verifiable results.

  1. First lines of code

    ZX81 Sinclair · BASIC

    Discovering programming.

A lasting curiosity about computer logic.

  2. –

    Space technology

    Clipper · dBase

Programming courses at the STE de l’Université de Liège, then IT technician and Clipper / dBase developer at Spacebel Instrumentation S.A.

The company: a Belgian firm active in space technology — cameras and optical systems for satellites, together with the associated software.

  3. –

    Quality, processes & data

    ISO 9002 · Banking & insurance

ISO 9002 quality assistant at Dortu, then experience in banking and insurance at Argenta.

Rigour, documentation, processes, business needs and sensitive data.

  4. –

    Autonomy & hands-on work

    Self-employed · Sport & leisure

Self-employed work in the sport and leisure sector.

Customer relations, project organisation and finding practical, usable solutions.

  5. Since

    Web then Python & AI

    WordPress · Python · APIs · AI

Creating and developing WordPress websites, then moving into Python, automation, APIs and projects involving artificial intelligence.

Current focus: Vibe Coding and Harness Engineering — defining the goal, guiding AI tools, checking the code and validating the results.

Based in Flémalle, Belgium, I put this approach into practice in my projects, including PhytoPulse, and I’m now looking to join a team and contribute to real-world projects, either in a job or on an assignment.

04 — GITHUB PROJECTS

Skills made
visible in code.

My projects are demonstrators and portfolio applications. They make it possible to examine the technologies used, the documentation, the limitations, and the design choices.
